Original 1944 United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America membership and dues book issued to O. A. Hartman of Monterey, California, Local Union 1323. Hartman was initiated May 13, 1944, and the book contains handwritten and stamped dues records extending through 1947, along with union membership rules and financial information. Black cloth-covered pocket-size booklet measures approximately 3 1/2" x 5". Name label remains on front cover. Shows age-related handling and paper wear as pictured. Personal identification number appearing inside has been omitted from listing photographs.
